It was hours before the infamous Silver Line Special of October 2014. Ish invited every person he'd ever met from Northern Virginia to Village A B205 for a party, including his best buddy, Josh. Also on the guest list? "Pooch," one of Ish's new pals at Georgetown. Legend has it that Pooch arrived to B205 and was promptly asked by Ish to do The Robot -- her signature dance move. She performs for the NoVa crowd and Josh knew in that moment that she was The One -- so much so, that every time he returned to UVA from *yet another* trip to the Hilltop, his friends would ask if he'd worked up the courage to talk to this "Pooch" yet. No dice. But the best things in life are worth waiting for, right? It took another four years for these crazy cats to get together, but Josh knows a love connection when he sees one. On a post-college trip to NYC, Josh and Al reconnected on the dance floor of The Grayson on 1st Avenue. For the next six months, they played pen pals, texting sweet notes across the country until Josh decided to fly in to NY from San Francisco for another trip to "see Ish." When Josh answered a few Jeopardy! questions at the bar, wrapped Al up in his arms and told her how much he missed her, she knew she'd found her guy. They've been together here (Chicago), there (Delancey and Green Street) and everywhere (Oyster Bay and Herndon, we love you!) ever since. Now they're building a wonderful little life together in their Ukrainian Village Cozy Casa with their lovable monster Bernese Mountain Dog, Korra. Below, you'll see a photo from one of our first dates in SF, in May 2019.
