We first met at ISU's Milner Library during finals week of the 2018 spring semester. We didn't think much of it and went on our way that summer. The ISU Baseball team seemed to have a thing for the ISU soccer team so during the beginning of 2018 fall semester Derek's teammates encouraged him to reach out to Alix. He came up with the smooth first text of "Hey is this Alix, the cute girl on the soccer team?" That made Alix feel all sorts of butterflies and the rest is history.
