Travel Note
While there is an airport, the most common way to travel to Martha’s Vineyard is by ferry. There are two ferry terminals on island — Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. Ferry Routes: 1. Travel from Boston: The Steamship Authority from Woods Hole, MA to Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Car and passenger ferry. NOTE: Passenger tickets do not need to be reserved in advance, but we highly recommend reserving a car ticket as far in advance as possible. Bringing a car is a great way to explore the island & weekend spots book up months in advance. 2. Travel from NYC: The Seastreak Ferry departs from East 35th Street in Manhattan and arrives in Oak Bluffs. Passenger ferry only. 3. Travel from CT & RI: New Bedford Ferry or Quonset Ferry. Passenger ferry only.
Hotel
Rooms are reserved under Johnston-Frascotti wedding. The Mansion House is located within a 5 minute walk from the Vineyard Haven ferry terminal. On Friday, transportation will be provided between the Mansion House and Welcome Drinks at The Harborside Inn. On Saturday, transportation will be provided between the Mansion House and the wedding ceremony & reception at Allen Farm. If you choose to stay at the Mansion House, we recommend booking your ferry ticket to Vineyard Haven, not Oak Bluffs. Oak Bluffs is a 10 minute drive from the inn.
