In their senior year of high school, Kyle and Ali met in a class together. A few months later, Kyle reached out to Ali and ended up coming to support her at her high school soccer team's senior night. (He made her a poster and yes, she still has it) They then went on their first date to the movies in Livermore and started dating shortly after. Their story has continued for the next 10 years.

On December 3rd, 2022, Kyle and Ali set out to cut down their first Christmas tree together along with their good friends, Chris and Elysse. When they found the tree they liked, Kyle began shoveling a space so that they could stand in front for a picture. As Chris and Elysse went to take pics for them, Kyle turned Ali around, and then when she turned back, he had gotten down on one knee. Her complete shock, the snow coming down, and pure joy all around made for a perfect day.
