Weddings at the Brick House are something of a family tradition. On June 27, 1970, Robin and Mike Jean tied the knot at a nearby chapel and hosted their reception at the house. A generation earlier on September 14, 1940, Alison’s maternal grandparents, Mardi and Rob Wheeler, held their wedding ceremony on the front lawn of the Brick House. We feel very honored to become part of this lineage by celebrating our special day at the house with all of you. Alison first brought Joshua to Whiteface in August of 2017. In between hikes and lobster rolls, Joshua—ever the engineer—spent much of the week knee deep in water, working on the dam that helps transport water across the field and into the swimming pool. The following summer, Alison introduced Joshua to the Woodberry clan over the July 4th holiday. He proved a worthy competitor in the many rowdy games of croquet, badminton, and tennis played throughout the week. We spend a lot of our free time enjoying the outdoors together—hiking, fishing, trail riding, and running—and feel so fortunate to have the Brick House in our lives. We are already looking forward to next summer’s big event when extended family will gather at the house to celebrate 100 years of ownership!
