Balboa Park is a beautiful place to spend some time. There are tons of museums to see from the Rueben H. Fleet Science Center, Natural History Museum, Museum of Man as well as many others. Balboa Park is famous for its beautiful architecture and bell tower. It is quite central and close to Downtown San Diego.
Sitting right on the bay, Seaport Village is a must do if you’re looking for somewhere to walk around and soak up some sunshine. It looks over Coronado Island. There are plenty of restaurants, quick service snacks and drinks as well as tons of little shops selling anything from socks to hats and even a hot sauce store!
Coronado is a short drive across the bridge from the I-5 just south of Downtown. Home of the Hotel Del, Coronado is a wonderful place to spend the day. There are dozens of restaurants and bars. Not to mention the beautiful and accessible beaches! There are tons of activities available such as biking, kayaking, paddle boarding etc.
For those who have a little extra time, the world famous San Diego Zoo neighbors Balboa Park and is absolutely amazing if you have the time to visit! There is even a gondola that can take you from one end of the park to the other with incredible sweeping views of San Diego.
La Jolla has great beaches and there is plenty to see and do. Spend the day in the sunshine and water then head over to La Jolla Cove for a wide variety of restaurants for dinner. The cove is also home to seals and sea lions and you can check those cuties out too!
Old Town San Diego is filled with tons of rich history, historic buildings, museums, unique shops and you can’t leave out the amazing Mexican food as well! Old Town Mexican Cafe or Cafe Coyote are some of the most popular!
