We first "met" in middle school and were friends throughout high school. Then, sophomore year rolled around, and I needed a date to our winter dance which many of you know as Snoball. As the good friend Colyn was, I asked him to be my date and he said yes. We went to the dance with a big group of friends and enjoyed our evening. At the end of the night, we hugged goodbye. Little did I know, that night would lead to us talking and hanging out for several months until we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend on November 7, 2014!

If you don't already know, Colyn and I both attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. Within our first couple weeks in Bozeman, we ventured out to Hyalite Reservoir about 30 minutes South of Bozeman. It's a great place to hangout as we typically hiked or kayaked when we went to Hyalite. Fast forward to my last year of college. I am finishing school in Bozeman while Colyn started chiropractor school in Minnesota. Colyn came to visit in January 2021 as we tried to see each other once a month or so during the long distance portion of our relationship. We drove up to Hyalite Canyon to hike Grotto Falls on Saturday, January 23. Once we got to the falls, Colyn had us hike above the waterfall. I asked our friend Chase to take a picture of Colyn and I. Then, the next thing I know, Colyn got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said, "Yes"! It was a beautiful winter day in Bozeman, MT. :)
