We first met on a night out in Batavia - but just as a quick introduction by Lindsey Foley a mutual friend. After the introduction Trevor persuaded Lindsey to invite Alisha over next time he had over a group of friends for a fire. By the end of the night at the fire numbers were exchanged and the rest is history!
With (Alisha's) pinterest pages of rings and help from one of Alisha's best friends Aleiah I was able to design the perfect ring (and right size!) for Alisha and get it on order. We had planned to take Christmas pictures in early December but unfortunately the ring didn't make it in time so a back-up plan was up! With the ring in hand and a few long weeks of wanting to get it out of my dresser and on Alisha's finger - I decided to keep it simple and do it at home - but to add a little twist. Alisha has always been one that can't wait to give (and receive) presents early. Before a rare night that both of us were free I asked if Alisha wanted to open an early Christmas present and of course knew she was going to say yes! The present was a wedding planner book that we have used meticulously in our planning of our special day. After a few special words of what our relationship meant to me and our plans for the future the famous words Will You Marry Me came out (with some stumbling along the way) and after a "is this for real" of disbelief Alisha said yes. With the ring finally on her finger we went out to Island's Hawaiian Grill and Eli Fish to celebrate. We waited anxiously over the next few days to see our family over Christmas and tell everyone in person. Within 30 minutes of telling Jacqui Grabowski we had a date picked and set and we had to get planning!
