Are my young children/kids invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, children have not been invited to this event. This is an adult party with alcohol, and only the people whose names were listed on your invitation have been invited.

Can I attend if I am unvaccinated (Covid-19) and/or sick? Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

We politely request that only people who are fully vaccinated and feeling well on the date of the reception attend. Unfortunately we have already put this event off more than once, and we are trying to cultivate a safe and healthy environment so we can celebrate our marriage. We highly encourage the use of masks when appropriate throughout the evening.

What do you mean wear my favorite clothes?

Answer

There is no set attire requirement for this event, other than wearing the clothes that make you feel the most comfortable. Do you feel your best in jeans, a suit, a ballgown, a Halloween costume? Wear it! The most authentic Alisha and Dominique will be on display, and we would love to see your most authentic selves as well.

Is the parking at the venue?

Answer

There is ample parking at the Park of Roses! Additionally, Columbus has plenty of taxi and ride-share services available (Express Cab of Columbus, Yellow Cab of Columbus, Lyft, Uber, etc.) for anyone wishing to get a ride to and from the venue. Please know that the park does not permit overnight parking, so if you plan to drink heavily please utilize a taxi to and from the venue.

Yes, there will be a full, open bar. Make use of it!

Answer

This event will be held at the Whetstone Shelter House, also known as the Park of Roses Shelter House. The address is 3901 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43085.

Are there any hotels nearby for out of town guests?

Answer

Yes! While we have not arranged for a hotel block, Columbus has ample hotel and airb&b locations. Please see the Travel page on our website for some hotels that are located within a ten minute drive from the reception venue.
