In summer of 2017, Austin & Alisha met at a friends downtown studio for a movie showing. What began as small talk became an intriguing conversation about life in the Middle East, a common passion for faith, culture and travel. The movie started and forced them to put the conversation on hold, then a few months slipped by before reconnecting. When the time was right, they began to cross paths again – including an awkward run-in at the state fair and some local musicians that brought them together. Their short visits became long summer walks, a very cold swim in Lake Calhoun, longboard rides and a mutually nerdy fascination with old books. After three months, Austin decided to go 'all in' and planned an epic date for Alisha with all her favorite things. In a hammock hidden someplace in the 'woods' of Northeast Minneapolis, Alisha knew this guys was deep and adventurous enough to keep inspiring and challenging her. Over the next year, they grew together in so many ways– their faith in God, excelling at work, staying creative with music and art, living a lifestyle of health and fitness, even scavenging for creative new recipes to cook. Life was definitely better together. Last September, their passion for travel brought them to Israel-Palestine, sharing dear friends from all over the world and dreaming about what a future together could look like. On New Years Eve, 2018, Austin popped the question and she said YES! Now, with excitement to start a new life together, they can't wait to get married and have you all stand with them! And the icing on top... our honeymoon is booked!
