Question

When should I arrive in NJ?

Answer

Well, this is entirely up to you based on where you live! Our love spreads wide and far, so we have family and friends coming from many different out-of-town locations. Since it's the President's Day holiday weekend, we recommend planning accordingly because traffic will most likely be heavy and flights may book up quickly. Some guests plan to stay in a nearby hotel both Saturday night (the night before) and Sunday night (the night of the wedding), but you can also check into your hotel on Sunday for a one-night stay. NOTE: Check-in for the hotel is 3 PM. If you live a bit far and plan to get ready for the wedding in your hotel room, we highly recommend booking your room for the night before so you have time. Shuttles will depart the Hampton Inn at 5:30 PM to transport you to the venue.

Question

When should I book my hotel?

Answer

Right away! Since it's the President's Day holiday weekend, the rooms will book up quickly.

Question

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adults-only affair.

Question

Will shuttles be provided?

Answer

Yes, we will be providing complimentary transportation to and from the Hampton Inn & Suites and the venue. Shuttles will depart the Hampton Inn at 5:30 PM — you will have a seat if you’re booked in our room block. If you are staying at another nearby hotel without shuttle service, please note that the area is very Uber-friendly. And, if you decide to drive to the venue and park your car at the guest lot at 14 Market Street across from the Paterson Museum, there will be vintage trollies to take you back and forth from the venue (photo opp)! Trollies will run from 5pm - 1am.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your formal invitation includes "and guest" or your guest's name then yes, if not then we'd prefer if it was just you.

Question

Why did you choose NJ?

Answer

Alicia's family is mostly on Long Island in NY and Andrew's family is mostly in Maryland, so we wanted to choose a location that was about half way between the two. And, our friends are everywhere! Also, we recently moved to Jersey City and are now New Jersey residents, so we thought our new home state was the right place for us to tie the knot!

Question

Can I take pictures or video during the ceremony?

Answer

Please put your phones away during the ceremony. We would love for everyone to be present during the special moment in our lives. We have an amazing professional photo + video team that will be capturing it all! After the ceremony, feel free to live your best Instagram life.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a request?

Answer

Please make that clear in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate.

Question

What about COVID?

Answer

Unfortunately, COVID is still a concern and the safety of our guests is of the upmost importance to us. You probably know the drill by now -- if you're not feeling well, please stay home and get some rest. Testing before the big day is not required, but appreciated if you’ve had recent contact with a positive case. Masks are optional.
