We met our first night at Northern Arizona University (Go Lumberjacks!), when Daniel was roaming the halls of our freshman dorm, looking for friends to start his college adventure. We immediately hit it off and became best friends! 4 years and many memories later, we both pursued our careers after graduating, in Oklahoma for pilot training, and in Phoenix for graduate school for Physical Therapy. We'd eventually find ourselves close together again on the map, with Daniel in New Mexico flying the F-16, and Ali on a clinical rotation in Tucson. With short trips every couple weekends we began dating again. After more graduation ceremonies, Daniel got his first combat assignment in South Korea, and Ali accepted her first PT job at an outpatient clinic in Idaho. A quick year of long distance later, here we are engaged and living in our first home together in South Carolina!

After enduring an around the world and across the country move, we set our sights on exploring some of the East Coast. Following trips to Asheville and North Carolina, we finally made it up to the beautiful Smoky Mountains for a weekend getaway with some friends. We enjoyed a well deserved lunch on a mountainside lookout after the first three and a half miles. Just before leaving, Daniel got down on one knee and proposed. With shaky legs at the edge of the cliff and a fast beating heart Ali said "YES, OF COURSE!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Boise!
