We are so grateful to have all that we need (and can fit in our New York apartment!) and consider your presence at our wedding a gift of its own. If you would still like to contribute something more, we ask that you donate in our honor to a cause near and dear to our hearts.
The bride does love a thoughtful card and keeps every one she receives, so while we are asking guests to please not give material gifts, you are more than welcome to bring or send a card.
Derek Chappell Scholarship Fund
The Derek Chappell scholarship fund through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee was established in honor of Calvin's dad, who passed in March of 2022. The scholarship supports young people in Milwaukee in getting to and through college. Please select "In memory of…” and write in “Derek Chappell Scholarship Fund" to contribute.
Crossroads Corral
Crossroads Corral, where Ali worked and volunteered throughout college, provides equine-assisted mental health therapy services. Founded by two close friends (and fellow wedding guests!), Crossroads has become special to the entire family. Ali's mom, Kim, was a founding member of the board of directors and her horse, Summer, is a resident therapy horse.
The Loveland Foundation
Ali and Calvin are passionate about suicide prevention and increasing access to mental health care. In honor of Ali's mom, Kim, who passed in August of 2023, we would like to invite you to contribute to The Loveland Foundation's therapy fund, which provides financial support to black women and girls seeking therapy throughout the United States.
