The Sangeet Celebration is a traditional pre-wedding event, particularly in North Indian and Punjabi cultures. It is a joyous occasion where both the bride's and groom's families come together to sing, dance, and celebrate the upcoming wedding. The term "Sangeet" translates to "music." During the Sangeet ceremony, family and friends gather for singing and dancing. The Sangeet celebration is typically a vibrant and colorful event, filled with laughter, music, and enthusiastic participation! We can't wait to dance with you! Traditional Indian dinner and sweets will be served. Semi-Formal: Tuxedos and gowns are welcom as well as suits and cocktail dresses. The wedding is mostly outside so please bring safe walking shoes.
The day will start with ice tea, lemonade and exploring the campus upon your arrival . The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm sharp on the main lawn. Please allow time for anticipated heavy traffic if you are coming from Santa Barbara. Following the ceremony will be a cocktail reception with live music. A sunset dinner will lead into an evening under the stars and dancing in South Hall. We can't wait to celebrate with you! * Parking is limited. Please take a Lyft, taxi or Uber.
