Flight
Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport (MAD) is Spain’s largest and busiest airport, located just 20-25 minutes from the city center. As a reminder, flights from the US to Europe are usually overnight, and you will arrive the next day. Please keep this in mind when booking. Here’s what to know: 1. Terminals: The airport has four main terminals (T1-T4). Check your airline and terminal in advance to avoid confusion. Terminal 4 (T4) is one of the largest and main hub for international flights, so allow extra time if flying through it. A free shuttle bus connects the terminals 24/7. 2. Transportation to/from the Airport: Taxi: Taxis from the airport to central Madrid have a flat rate. Metro: The metro line 8 (pink line) connects the airport to central Madrid. Airport Express Bus: The Express Bus runs 24/7 between Madrid-Barajas Airport and stops at Atocha Station, Cibeles, and O’Donnell. A single ticket costs €5 and can be purchased on board. Train: The Cercanías train (C1) connects T4 to major hubs like Atocha and Chamartín stations. Rideshare: Apps like Uber and Cabify are available but may cost more than taxis. 3. Customs & Immigration: US citizens flying directly into Spain will go through customs and immigration at Madrid-Barajas. Have your passport and travel details ready, they may ask you questions about your stay.

House Or Rental
AirBnB is a great option for large groups of more than 6 people that are planning to stay in Madrid around the same dates. It will likely be more cost efficient than a hotel. If you want to stay close to the venue look for options in the neighborhoods of: Sol, Barrio de las Letras, La Latina, Malasaña, Recoletos, Atocha, Plaza de España.
