Canalside is a historic district that was once the western terminus of the Erie Canal. Today, it has become a rich site of development, revival, and activity in Buffalo. It’s located in the city’s downtown corridor, at the intersection of Pearl Street and Marine Drive.
What to do: 1. Maid of the Mist - Popular boats that shuttle passengers to and from the base of the falls. Plan to get wet! 2. Old Fort Niagara - 17th century fort that has seen action during numerous wars, including the American Revolution and the French and Indian War, making it the longest operational fort in North America. 3. Cave of the Winds - Take an elevator 175 feet down into the Niagara Gorge, where you'll be able to roam a series of wooden walkways that put you within feet of the Bridal Veil Falls.

Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s six-structure Darwin Martin House complex located in the historic Parkside neighborhood of Buffalo, NY. A variety of tours are offered year-round. Reservations are strongly recommended. To visit the interior of the house you must be on a guided tour.

The Naval Park is a museum on the shore of Lake Erie that is home to several decommissioned US Naval vessels, including the Cleveland-class cruiser USS Little Rock, the Fletcher-class destroyer USS The Sullivans, and the submarine USS Croaker. Along with the ships, there are a variety of smaller vehicles, vessels, and aircraft on display at the park.
