Brainard Lake Recreation Area
This is where we got engaged! The most stunning alpine lake views, tons of trails for all levels, and scenic drive on the Peak to Peak scenic byway to get there! If you take the trail to Blue Lake- the cliffs above the lake are reflected in our wedding bands, crafted ever so finely by Alex's extremely talented Maid of Honor, Deborah!
Very Nice Brewing Company
With amazing brews and nods to The Big Lebowski (and plenty of rugs to tie the room together)- this is our favorite brewery in the entire state!
Carousel of Happiness
This 1910 carousel was given new life by Ned resident and Vietnam vet, Scott Harrison. He hand carved each animal over 26 years! This is a magical place is not to be missed!
CROSSCUT PIZZERIA & TAPHOUSE
Rising dough is tricky at 8,227 ft - this place makes cold rise dough that takes DAYS to rise.. and boy howdy is it good.

Nederland Farmers Market
If you happen to be around Sunday-- this is the place to be! The jubilant spirit of this little mountain town shines bright- produce, handmade goods, and toe tapping music. Honestly what could be better?!

If this is your thing, we HIGHLY recommend this little mom and pop JOINT ;) Best in the state!

Barker Meadow Reservoir
There is a trail that begins in the middle of town (near Crosscut Pizza) - and follows Boulder Creek to the reservoir. It's a lovely stroll!

Chipeta Park
If you have kiddos, this is a picturesque little playground - and the trail adjacent to it leads down to fun little swimming pool skate park, and a beautiful view of Barker Reservoir!
