Aaron and I met junior year of high school at Bishop Amat. Neither of us had known of the other until sharing IB English together. One of our first conversations was actually me asking Aaron if I could copy his take home quiz because I had forgotten all about it. Though we both started to catch each other’s eye, it wasn’t until we were put into a presentation group together that we started to finally talk to each other. While in our presentation group, Aaron and I constantly texted back and forth in our group chat, to the point another group member asked if we could stop texting in the chat because his phone kept blowing up during tutoring. It wasn’t until I “conveniently” texted Aaron for help on homework that we finally started truly getting to know each other. Soon enough we were texting morning to night, everyday and finally during Christmas break in 2014, we went on our first date to Speedzone. As both of us had barely turned 16, neither of us had our license. So on our very first date, I got to meet Aubrey and Nicole right away, as they were driving Aaron to pick me up. Not intimidating at all😅. At the time mine and Aaron’s favorite song was Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran, so it felt as if it was meant to be when it came on the radio on the way to Speedzone. That is until Aubrey changed it because it was too slow😂. As awkward as Aaron and I were on our first date, we had a blast as I beat him at mini golf, go karts and air hockey…though Aaron will claim he let me win. From there, our feelings just continued to grow. We knew right away that our feelings for each other were strong and not only were they strong, but they were also mutual. On January 23 of 2015, Aaron asked me to be his girlfriend, bringing me a teddy bear, flowers, and the most beautiful letter about the future we had ahead of us. From the start, Aaron and I knew we had something special. There was never a doubt that we would get to this point but it was just a matter of when. 7 years and 6 months later, on July 23 of 2022, Aaron proposed. As we countdown the days until we say “I Do” we can’t help but reflect on the last 8 years and feel blessed. We cannot wait to spend our special day with you.🤍
