It all started during their sophomore year at The Ohio State University. Alex noticed Andrew during a class and reached out to her friend Daniel, wondering if Andrew needed a date for their next AEPi date party. About a month later, Alex received a text from Andrew inviting her to his date party. I'm sure you can guess... it was a great night! Alex and Andrew began talking and hanging out on a regular basis, remaining close throughout college.
After graduating college, Alex moved to New York City and Andrew moved to Denver. When saying goodbye to each other, Alex and Andrew realized how much they would miss each other. A few weeks later, Andrew visited Alex in New York, and in October 2017, they decided to give long distance a try. After two years of monthly visits between their respective cities, Andrew got a job in New York and they were finally dating in the same city! In September 2021, after living together in their 800 sq ft apartment throughout the pandemic, Alex and Andrew moved across the country to Denver, Colorado.
In August 2022, Alex and Andrew were back in NYC for their friends' wedding. It was a beautiful morning, so they decided to take a stroll through Central Park. They met up with their friend Dylan and walked to the Bethesda Fountain. This is a significant location because it is right by the iconic Loeb Boathouse, where Alex's parents got married as well as one of her favorite spots in the city. Andrew suggested taking a photo in front of the fountain and as they were posing, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Alex to marry him. Alex immediately said "YES," and they were engaged! Alex and Andrew look forward to celebrating this exciting life event with all their favorite people. See you in Colorado!
