It was 2020. Alex was living in Stoneham, MA and Caroline in North Kingstown, RI. Alex was navigating her clinic closing (she was working as a physical therapist) and Caroline was navigating the landscape of healthcare as a newly certified Physician Assistant during the most uncertain time of healthcare in the last century. Amidst all of this uncertainty, there was one certainty: Colleen (Alex's childhood friend and roommate at the time) was going to make sure Alex continued to put herself out there. Enter: Bumble. (for those who don't know, bumble is a dating app) Alex and Caroline met on Bumble in the spring of 2020 thanks to Alex investing in the "Bumble Boost." (This meant Alex's "radius" for connection was wider for a measly span of 7 days. Fate moves fast, eh?) They talked all things Taylor Swift, Caroline's adoration of her brothers, the ocean and of course, dogs. In late June of 2020, Alex and Caroline were able to meet in person (!!!) in Providence. We now understand the phrase "the rest is history," because that's exactly what happened. Their meeting during a pandemic, across 70+ miles, with a "boost" on a dating app was nothing short of meant to be. And the rest is history. From traveling between Stoneham and North Kingstown, Medford and Providence, and then landing in Cumberland, RI, we've been able to build a life that we adore while adoring each other (and our chiweenie Rosie <3). We're so excited to share this story and our love with all of you!
