Round-trip Shuttle Buses

October 5, 2019 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

--COURTYARD MARRIOTT: buses arrive at Marriott 3pm Saturday **please be downstairs ready by 3pm; we need buses mostly full before they can leave --WINGATE & HOLIDAY INN: one bus will make stops at both these hotels since there are only a few people to pick up **please be downstairs ready by 3:15pm; these hotels are only 1 mile from Marriott --BUS NOTES: food/beverages are allowed on the buses (NO GLASS) - please do not litter **please be on time **if you miss the buses, you will have to get an Uber/Lyft to take you to Owosso Pines (5182 N Owosso Rd, Fowlerville MI 48836) **ceremony processional begins at 4:30pm; Owosso Pines is approx. 16 miles from the hotels **there might be multiple wedding buses at each hotel - please look for signs that have "Gonzalez-Switzer Wedding / Owosso Pines" on them **if anyone gets sick or relieves themselves on a bus, they are responsible for the up to $500 cleaning fee charged by the company ~ thank you for being responsible!

Parking at Owosso Pines

Please carpool if you can!! We will have on-site parking for folks who RSVP'd that they planned to drive. Please follow signs along the driveway leading back onto the property. Ushers & helpers will be assisting with parking. Please arrive early to ensure you can park before events start. We will have a small golf cart to help folks who have trouble walking. The walk isn't very far from the parking, but just in case anyone prefers assistance. If you use a wheelchair/etc, please have your driver stop at the house driveway and let you off there before going to park.

Uber / Lyft Rideshare Note

REMINDER: Rideshares are VERY hard to get from Owosso Pines where the wedding is held, hence the booking of shuttle buses to take people to/from the property. If you miss the bus to take you to the wedding, you will need to get an Uber/Lyft/taxi to get you to Owosso Pines. If this happens, you will be able to ride the buses back to the hotel at night no problem. Getting a rideshare from the hotels is easy; Brighton is a larger city. Fowlerville is a small farm town, hence why we got the buses. Rideshares are nearly impossible to book from Owosso PInes. FYI :-)

It may be more economical for some out-of-towners to rent a car to and from DTW. Then you would have a car to go eat and explore outside of the actual wedding ceremony/reception. You WILL have buses to take you to/from the wedding.

Flight

Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)

Flying into Detroit will be easiest for most folks. You can rent a car or Uber/Lyft to the Fowlerville/Howell/Brighton area. The wedding venue - Owosso Pines - is about a 75 minute drive from the airport.
