Michaela saw Alex at the gym and was immediately captivated. She referred to Alex as her “gym husband” and even tweeted about him before they met. The tweet read, “I’m going to marry a man at the gym, he just doesn’t know it yet.” A year later they matched on a dating site known as Bumble. They talked back and forth until Alex stopped responding. Michaela was obviously devastated, but that didn’t stop her. She kept going to the gym in hopes to run into him. Alex reached out on the dating site about a month later and practically begged Michaela for a first date 😉. The rest is history!
Michaela and Alex are avid Chicago Dogs fans. They enjoy watching their favorite minor league baseball team play in Rosemont and finally got season tickets in 2022. They love the atmosphere, the giveaways, fireworks, and of course the hotdogs and beer. Michaela and Alex had one game left in their season ticket package and decided to make a day of it. Alex got a tattoo in the morning, they went out to lunch and then headed to the game. Alex claimed he left his wallet in the car when they entered the gates, but what Michaela didn’t know was that he was going back to the car to grab the ring which he hid in his sock. They went to their seats and enjoyed the first 3 innings. Alex left to grab napkins and food and when he returned he had neither. Instead, he got down on one knee and proposed. Next thing we know our names are on the Jumbotron and our whole section was cheering. It was a night to remember!
