As our second wedding date, September 26, approached, we realized it would not be respectful or safe to ask all of our closest friends and family to gather together. As we debated what to do, the suggestion was made that we get married while on vacation together in Nantucket. The idea took hold, and for the next two weeks the Vezina parents went all over Nantucket making plans. Meanwhile, the whole Corey crew rearranged their lives and made travel plans to get to the tiny island to be with us. We got married on July 31, surrounded by our families and the ocean. It was painful to part with the dream of the big, fancy, festive wedding surrounded by all the people who are such integral parts of our lives, and who fill our hearts. We each missed all of our friends and loved ones who were not with us deeply, and regret that circumstances did not allow us to be together on such an important day in our lives. Despite that, the wedding was dreamlike in its simplicity and beauty, and the evening was as full of love and laughter and dancing as if there had been 300 people there. We're so happy to have had this opportunity to be married in a place so special to us with our families watching... but most of all, we're just so happy to finally be MARRIED! We hope (pandemic allowing) to have a big, casual blow-out for our one year anniversary, so that we can FINALLY celebrate with all of you. We love you all, thank you for your support and understanding! Love, Logan and Alex
