How We Met

Our story began at The College of New Jersey. We had both chemistry and physics class together. In our chemistry class at 8:00 AM, Alex would sleep in a cozy spot in the back of class, while Gina would sleep with her mouth wide open in the front of class. Our first interaction occurred when, by chance, we were lab partners for a day. With Alex’s lab partner having dropped out and Gina’s absent for the day, the professor paired us off. After Gina completed all of the lab work for the both of us, we became acquaintances for a few years. Eventually, we went on our first date at a Trenton Thunder baseball game.

Early Days

Despite Alex clogging Gina’s communal toilet, our college days were a wonderful time. We loved doing homework together, with Gina focusing on her organic chemistry assignments and Alex tackling his crossword puzzles for his business classes. Outside of school work, we discovered all of our shared hobbies that continue to be a major part of our relationship. Whether it was going for long runs, rooting for our rival baseball teams (Phillies for Gina and Mets for Alex), or napping on the couch, we cherished every second that we spent together.

Moving in Together

After graduating from college, Gina started at Cooper Medical School, while Alex did whatever it is that he does. In July 2020, we moved in together at the Haddonview Apartments. In Haddon Township, we enjoyed visiting our favorite Italian restaurant (Bistro di Marino), practicing hot yoga, and watching the goats nibble on the poison ivy across the street. Shortly after moving in together, our greatest joys (aside from each other, of course) arrived in the form of two handsome boys. Franklin and Benjamin are the embodiment of love and care. Raising these two orange tabbies has made our lives complete.

The Proposal

While vacationing on the Greek island of Santorini, Alex orchestrated his grandest trick. Under the guise of meeting up with Alex's chiseled groomsman Costa (who was coincidentally traveling through Greece at the same time), Alex brought Gina to an old castle overlooking the caldera at sunrise. There, Alex proposed to the love of his life, with Gina repeatedly respond yes. After dating for almost 6 years, we were both so excited to commit to spending forever with each other.

Today

After coming back from Greece, we moved to Lawrence Township and settled into our second apartment together. Outside of wedding planning, Gina has been busy as a resident at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, while Alex has been laser-focused on preparing delicious new meals for his queen. They continue to never have a dull moment together. They look forward to upcoming road races (in which Gina will continue to beat Alex), weekend hiking trips, and relaxing vacations. We are both so excited to be planning our big day. We hope that you can share in this special moment with us.

For all the days along the way
