Alex and Fogel first met in 2005 in the halls of Westhill High School. They thought they smelled love in the air, but it was just the combination of Axe body spray and Garden Catering. From that moment on, Alex and Fogel were constantly in touch. Whether Fogel was trying to get the sparknotes version of the books Alex actually read, or Alex was Fogel’s #1 fan at his basketball and baseball games (even though she hated baseball), they knew at the very least a true friendship had begun. Four years, many parties, Dave Matthews Band concerts, and a tight-knit mutual friend group later, Alex left to attend Penn State University, and Fogel went south to Emory University. During their college years, their many late night Skype calls eventually turned into trips to State College and Atlanta, and they knew they were on to something serious. Both landing in New York after college, Alex took a job in marketing and Fogel attended law school. They’ve shared cramped NYC apartments ever since. Fogel proposed to Alex on July 18, 2018. Alex suspected it was coming, but Fogel threw her off with the sweeping views of Big Sur, California and prepping for the big moment with an extra large basket of fries and a nap. Alex said yes, and they celebrated as the sun set over the mountains and Pacific Ocean. Not everyone is fortunate enough to find their true love. Even fewer are fortunate to fall in love with their best friend. We look forward to celebrating with all of you on November 16, 2019 at the Inn at Longshore in Westport, CT!
