We met on.. DRUM ROLL PLEASE.. PLENTY OF FISH! Alex was one of those guys that wasnt looking for anything serious. while I was more of the meticulous one, reading every profile, outweighing the pros and cons. I wasn't even on the app looking for anything serious neither, and then one night Alex’s profile came up. Dating someone you met online wasn't popular then, like it is now. We chatted every few days, and a lot on the phone and in skype... (rememeber when that was popular) On December 22nd 2012 we finally met after talking for ONLY A WEEK. I honestly couldn't tell from his profile if he was cute or not (hahaha) and I almost contemplated "swiping left" aka rejecting him, but I thought, hey he super liked me, lets give this guy a chance. It is so crazy to think that even though we lived 25 minutes away from each other, if this scenario didn't play out in this exact way, we may have never met. We started chatting right away on the app and within a few hours, we decided to exchange numbers. I found him charming, I loved his voice when we would talk on the phone, or see him kn skype and I could not wait to meet him. I met Alex at a same small place near his house.. there after he got off of work and the first thing I thought was "he's much cuter in person". (He has also confided to me that he felt the same way haha.) Talking to him was easy. It was comfortable, like I had known him for a long time even though we had just met. We told many stories, we laughed a lot, we shared pictures with each other of things we had on our phone. It felt like moments had passed by and then when we actually looked at the time, we realized it was almost 10pm, after being with each other since 11am that day. Ending the day, i knew it was the right choice! It was an amazing first date and we got to know each other more and more through second and third dates that week. The rest is history!

Even though Alex took his sweet time in asking me to go steady with him (he didn't officially ask me to be his girlfriend until January 1st 2013!!) The way he proposed summed up our relationship perfectly. After 5 years of dating, Alex arranged the best proposal. Alex knew family was everything to me. When the entire family was opening up gifts on Christmas Day, Alex knew exactly what he wanted to do. Once the last gift was opened Alex got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! (12/25/17) I was so surprised (even though I knew it was coming) He had been designing the ring since end of November and he knew how special it needed to be. This was the best surprise and I didn’t want it any other way. I am so excited to have found my always with such an amazing guy!
