Ceremony

3:00 pm

Blue Lakes
Blue Lakes Rd, Blue River, CO 80424

Let's dress up a little - we all like to look good once in awhile! (i.e., dresses, suits, slacks, bolo tie, jeans and a dress shirt - whatever you want) The ground can be rocky and uneven, maybe rethink stilettos in favor of dress boots or flats. Average high temps in Breckenridge, in May, are in the 40s-50s. Plan to bring a coat. Colorado weather can be a bit bipolar and it's wise to be prepared.

This will be a private ceremony with our immediate families and closest friends at the waterfall at Blue Lakes. We will be renting a house in Fairplay (~30-minute drive south of Breckenridge, CO) for the evening before and the evening of the ceremony. If you are attending the ceremony, please join us for a low-key dinner on Saturday evening at the rental.

Dinner

6:30 pm

Please join us for a low-key dinner and drinks after the ceremony at our AirBnB. There will be a variety of food and drink options available - we are aiming for a mixture of foods from our very different cultures. So, expect a blend of Southern/Cajun and Mediterranean foods. Please know that it is about 30 minutes south of Breckenridge, in Fairplay (a much smaller town) - so, as there will be plenty of beverages to go around, plan accordingly.

Next Day Hike

11:00 am

Hiking/exercising clothes - tennis shoes or hiking boots

For any family and friends that want to join, we plan on hiking McCullough Gulch on the following day (Sunday, 5/7/23). This is a round trip 6.4-mile hike with a total of 1,607 ft of elevation gain (over 3.2 miles - not that bad!). There are several alpine lakes and waterfalls along the trail and several turnback points. We also completely understand if hiking is not your thing, if you're hungover, etc. Most of you are coming from closer to sea level and the elevation might take a toll on you. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/mccullough-gulch-trail
