Our story officially begins on March 8th, 2015 at a fraternity party. However, the real story begins a few months before. We went to the same beloved sleepaway camp, Camp Ramah in California, year after year, but did not interact with each other at all. In fact, if you ask Alexa, she may say that Tal was not her favorite person (an understatement, if you ask Tal...) and when she found out that they were both going to Cal Poly, she was convinced they would never see each other at school. However, one day into orientation week, we saw each other and started talking. Alexa quickly realized that Tal was not so bad after all. We hung out almost every day and quickly became friends and then best friends. When we started to realize that we liked each other as more than friends, we began regularly walking back to our dorms with each other after our evening classes. It was supposed to be a "Oh, you're done with class? Mine just finished, too! Let's walk back together" type of thing, but sometimes when our class would get out early, we would intentionally not tell the other so that we could have our one-on-one walks back to the dorms. This quickly became both of our favorite times of the week. How cute! After weeks of flirting, a fraternity party was all we needed to take the next step. Once we officially began dating, everyone could see the connection and love immediately. We felt so lucky that we found each other so early in life. We were able to grow up together and experience life's most pivotal moments next to each other. We always encouraged the other to follow their dreams, even if it meant our relationship would be challenged. Our relationship stood the test of time through study abroad, many summers at camp, 4 years of college, a year of Tal living in Philadelphia, 6 years (combined) of graduate school and law school, studying for the bar, and living in LA post-college. We are grateful that we grew together instead of growing apart. After 7 years and 11 months (Tal insists on making it clear that it happened before our 8-year anniversary), Tal asked Alexa to be his wife. It was the most magical day. Surrounded by so much love, we celebrated our relationship as we took the next, long-awaited step. We are beyond excited to continue the celebrations at our wedding and we are honored to have you as part of our journey. The best is yet to come!
