Copenhagen has a very famous and influential bakery scene, so we suggest trying as many as you can while you’re here. We loved going to a different bakery for breakfast each morning. Tell Sebastian which pastries are your favorites so he can add them to the menu at Smør Bakery 🙃 - Mirabelle - Anderson + Maillard - Lille Petra - Lille Bakery - Apotek 57 - Juno (definitely famous but everyone swears by it) - Rabes have (classic danish smørrebrød - it’s a super local spot but so so cute and good)

- Bar La Una - Bevi Bevi (right next door to bar la una) - Mangia (same owner as bevi bevi and bar la una) - Lamar - Omar (same owner as lamar) - Bæst (sourdough pizza - all homemade and delish) - Restaurant Marv & Ben - Gro Eatery - The Pescatarian - Restaurant Kronborg (traditional Danish Smørrebrød) - Restaurant Selma - Restaurant Carl Nielsen - Restaurant Schønneman - Hija de sanchez (she used to work at noma - also in kødbyen) - Fiskebar (kødbyen - a nicer dining spot but amazing and definitely an experience) - Restaurant gorilla (also kødbyen and also a nicer restaurant) - Aamans - classic smørrebrød restaurant - 20a - such a cozy and delicious restaurant. Sebastian and I loved it when we were in Copenhagen last December - TorvehallerneKBH - the best food market. You can't go wrong at any of the food, wine, or beer stalls. We went a few times during out last trip because it's such a fun spot. - The Bridge Street Kitchen - another food market, from the guys behind Noma, but this one is outdoors! It's located at the Greenlandic Trade Square just across Inderhavsbroen (the bridge) by Nyhavn

- Lille Blå Vinbar - La Banchina this is like part bakery/part coffee shop/part natural wine bar/part seafood restaurant/part swimming dock! Go here to enjoy a few oysters, sip on a crisp glass of wine, and have a dip in the canals! - Sabotørren - Melo - Ancestrale - Den Vandrette (owned by rosforth) - Rouge Oysters - Bar Vivant - Pompette - Rosforth + Rosforth (hiiiighly recommend if it’s nicer out - these guys are like the natural wine kings, you can order wine straight from them and sit under the bridge by the water) - Ruby (a cocktail bar in a 1700s townhouse)
Whatever you do, don’t leave Copenhagen before you:
- Try pastries at a bakery (or a few) - Walk through Tivoli and go on a ride - Jump into the canals for a swim - Enjoy a bike ride around the city - Have a picnic on the lawn of The King’s Garden - Buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it at the lakes (yes you can drink in public) - Eat a late night hot dog at one of the street carts (order the fransk and/or the classic 'ristet med det hele') - Rent a boat and sail the canals of Copenhagen (FriendShips and GoBoat are great options) - Drink a bottle of Tuborg (Any deli or kiosk will open your beer. Don't get the cans, get the bottles! While the craft beer scene in Denmark is big, Sebastian would like to remind you that nothing beats a cold, cheap Danish Pilsner) - Walk through Nyhavn

- Comfortable walking shoes! Copenhagen is a very walkable city. Each neighborhood has its own personality so we highly recommend walking your way through our favorites: Vesterbro, Frederiksberg, Indre By, and Meatpacking. - Your Bathing suit! During the summer in Copenhagen, it’s very popular to walk to the piers and jump into the canals. The water is crystal clear around the city and perfect for a refreshing swim. - Wedding outfit: cocktail dresses for the women (summery colors are encouraged, but also just wear whatever makes you feel great!!) and suits/sport coats for the guys! - Passports for the Americans! Duh, but worth the reminder 😜 - Travel Adapter: Denmark uses TYPE E plugs. Amazon sells lots of adapters.
