As many of you know, Robbie works at Disneyland. One winter day, Alex and her friend Alyssa planned a trip to Disneyland and they met up with Alyssa's sister. Robbie was there to get us all into the parks. Alex thought he was going to sign them all in and then head home. Much to her surprise, Robbie decided to hang out most of the day. After the trip was over, Robbie and Alex friended one another on Instagram and Facebook. A couple weeks after this first Disney meeting, Robbie messaged Alex on Instagram about Peeps flavored Oreos....and the rest is history.

Robbie and Alex were planning a trip to Sedona, Arizona. Alex had the idea to plan it around their 3 year dating anniversary. All of the details were made. Robbie was planning on mountain bike excursions, and Alex was planning relaxing spa days. They were all set to go on the trip until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. The night before they were set to leave, Alex got a phone call from a restaurant cancelling the reservations they had made a week prior. Hour by hour, minute by minute, restaurants and stores were closing down because of the pandemic. Alex and Robbie made the decision to cancel the trip at 9pm the night before they were supposed to leave. There were many tears shed, all by Alex of course, about cancelling the trip. Deep down she knew Robbie was going to propose and she was devastated that the trip was cancelled. Unsure of what was going to happen next, Alex and Robbie went to bed and were going to talk more in the morning. Once morning came around, Alex continued to be upset and decided it was time for a nap. Since the plan was to go away for the weekend, there was no food in their house. While Alex was napping, Robbie decided to go to the store. When Alex woke up, much to her surprise, Robbie was still gone. She called him and he said he'd be home from his parents shortly. When Robbie came home he had the plan of salvaging their engagement. He came home with flowers, food for dinner, and even his mom's china to eat with. They cooked dinner together and enjoyed each others company. Once dinner was finished Robbie got down on one knee and asked Alex to be his wife.
