The waterfront is a great place to start your exploration of Georgetown! Walking along this section of the Potomac you can expect to see the river busy with boats, kayaks, and rowers as you pass by a number of great places to eat. From here it's easy to venture further into Georgetown where you can find lots of restaurants and shopping along M Street or Wisconsin Ave. If you're feeling daring, you can even stop by the infamous "Exorcist Steps" (If you know, you know!)
Collectively called the Smithsonian Institution, the world-renowned museum and research complex consists of 17 museums and galleries in Washington, DC. While the Castle is closed for renovations, it is the center of the complex and a good place to start! The Smithsonian Institution includes famous museums and galleries such as The Museum of Natural History, National Portrait Gallery, Renwick Gallery, The Museum of American History, and many more!
Great place to get away from the busy city without ever leaving it! You can walk, bike, or drive to Roosevelt Island which offers several different hiking trails of varying length. Here you'll also find the Theodore Roosevelt Monument commemorating his founding of the National Parks Service!
Midlands is the first place that Nicole and I went to when we moved here and it’s still our favorite. There’s tons of seating, great bar food, a huge beer selection, and sports always on the television.
Bar a Vin is a great little French bar in Georgetown. If you’re looking for a quiet place with good drinks, food, and ambiance in Georgetown then this is the place.
Great for Happy Hour margaritas and Tex Mex close to our venue with laid back atmosphere and indoor/outdoor seating!
