David Harland

David and Marjan met through Band Company at Kings Point and are bonded through the suffering of running the band as students without a band director. David is currently in the U.S. Navy and has helped Marjan with most things in his adult life, including being the inspiration behind Marjan's master's thesis.
Emily Nardone

Emily and Alessandra met through their first jobs out of college. As two of the only new girls to work in their department, they became fast friends and almost inseparable immediately. After Emily took a new job and moved two hours away, she always makes the trip to frequently visit and even has her own room in Alessandra and Marjan's house.
Joe Decker
Groomsman
Joe and Marjan went to Kings Point together and after some convincing from Marjan he was able to bring Joe on as the regimental band executive their senior year. They worked together to organize the annual Beat Retreat without any adult supervision. After graduating, Joe joined the Navy Reserves' Civil Engineer Corp which he later helped Marjan also join. They now spend their time together catching up and sharing different ways to succeed in their positions as Company Commanders.
Mary Catherine Zehnder

Mary Catherine is Alessandra's oldest friend. The two have known each other since kindergarten and have never stopped being close. They have been on countless sports teams together, celebrated so many big moments for each other and more like sisters than anything.
Alex Zinke
Groomsman
Marjan and Alex went to Kings Point together and were sea partners. They've gone on numerous adventures sailing around the world together, but despite Alex being the deck cadet, Marjan was known as the better land navigator and could tie a better bowline. During their long days at sea Alex and Marjan bonded over time in the gym and playing video games.
Michelle Klem
Bridesmaid
Michelle and Alessandra became friends through work and have spent endless hours giggling together over reality TV, Taylor Swift, puppies, and boys. Michelle has been a sounding board for all of Alessandra's random thoughts. Michelle is the reason for Alessandra's sweet tooth with all of her amazing baked goods.
Brandon Pearson
Groomsman
Brandon and Marjan met through a Craigslist ad, where Brandon was looking for a new guitarist for his band. Four years later, Brandon and Marjan are basically family. There have been countless band practices, many Eagles games watched, and a few double dates. Joanna Daly

Joanna is Alessandra's cousin and has always been a second little sister. There are so many memories of playing house, going to the pool and cake decorating classes turned to sleepover's at Joanna's house. Joanna and Alessandra's conversations now revolve around car advice, puppy pictures and life catch-up sessions.
Bozho Mikulic

Bozho was Marjan’s first friend in life and cousin. As kids, Marjan convinced Bozho to get a drum set to join him and his brother Boris in the band they started together. The two now make time to see each other whenever Marjan goes home to Colorado. Spending time together mostly includes Bozho walking Marjan through difficult video games.
Scott Kahl
Bridesman
Scott is Alessandra's older brother who always has a sarcastic quip at the ready. Scott might also be Alessandra and Marjan's dog, Rudder's, favorite person besides Alessandra and Marjan. Growing up together, Scott and Alessandra have always enjoyed poking fun at each other, teasing Marykate, and vacationing as a family.
Boris Mikulic
Groomsman
Boris and Marjan have been lifelong friends and cousins. They played together whenever Marjan could pull Boris away from Filipa’s spy games. They are the founding members of Marjan’s first band where Boris rocked his red 5-string bass guitar. As adults, Boris is a successful nurse whom Marjan treats as his personal doctor.
Mike Simunek

Alessandra and Mike have worked together for the last five years, and Alessandra was very persistent in making Mike her friend in the office. They have spent a *small* amount of company time complaining about work together and are always there to make each other laugh. From boating days at the shore, to fixing cars in the parking lot, there's never a dull moment when Mike and Alessandra are together.
Filipa Martinovic

Filipa is Marjan's first sister. Fil and Marjan have taken a similar path in life by both going to Kings Point and being engineers. Always one-upping her brother, Filipa maintained a higher GPA and regiment status during her tenure at the academy. Now, Filipa actually sails on her license (unlike her brother) and travels in her off time.

Bella is Marjan's youngest sister and has spent her time with Alessandra trying all the crafts! Alessandra and Bella have made friendship bracelets together for the whole family and tried crocheting. Bella loves to try new things and tell you all the fun facts she's learned!
Ivana Martinovic
Groomswoman
Ivana is Marjan’s second sister who shares Marjan’s love of the arts. Ivana is talented in watercolor and acrylics where her most famous piece to date is Marjan’s album cover. The two also share a passion for 90’s Japanese sports cars.
Shawn and Brian Connor
Ring Bearers
Shawn and Brian are Alessandra’s “nephews” and are always filled with a curious energy. They both love super heroes and playing outside. Brian is also Alessandra’s godson and she loves to visit the boys whenever she can!
Gabe Martinovic

Gabe is Marjan's little brother. Gabe loves playing baseball with Marjan and even joined his school baseball team. Marjan likes to plan activities with Gabe when he visits home like paintball, playing video games or building a new Lego.
