Travel Note
There is not a super convenient airport in the Mendocino area, so we recommend flying into San Francisco or Sacramento and renting a car to drive to Mendocino. The drive is quite curvy to get out to the coast, so plan ahead with Dramamine if you get car sick. Highway 128 is much less curvy than Highway 20. While the drive is typically ~3-3.5 hours, you'll get to pass through amazing redwood forests before arriving at the stunning coast line!
Flight
Sacramento Airport is about 3.5 hours from Mendocino, but there will likely be less traffic on the drive from Sacramento than from San Francisco! :) We recommend flying into Sacramento for an easier travel experience.
Flight
San Francisco Airport is about a 4 hour drive from Mendocino. There can be lots of traffic to get across the Golden Gate Bridge, but the drive up Highway 101 is gorgeous!
Travel Note
Mendocino is home to many lovely hotels and inns. Here are a few recommendations that have availability during our wedding weekend. We have also really enjoyed staying in airbnb/VRBO rentals in Mendocino and Fort Bragg.
Hotel
This hotel is ~1 mile from our wedding venue - super convenient. We have a hotel block reserved. Please call (707) 964-1100 and mention you're a part of our group for a discount.
Hotel
This hotel is gorgeous, and right on an inlet in Fort Bragg. It's close to an amazing seafood market and restaurant where local fishers bring in their catch. Please note: this hotel does have a 3 day minimum stay, however if you're looking to extend the weekend, this would be a lovely place to stay.
Hotel
Inns of Mendocino has 3 properties with beautiful guest rooms.
Hotel
This bed and breakfast is located adjacent to the Brickery, where we'll host our welcome dinner. Staying here is on Ryan and Emily's bucket list for a future trip to the area :) Their restaurant, Cafe Beaujolais, is one of the best places to eat in Mendocino.
