Question

What's the weather going to be like? What should I wear?

Answer

Right now (9/16), the forecast for Saturday 9/23 is sunny with moderate winds. Weather in southern Spain in September tends to be hot during the day, with slightly cooler temperatures in the evening. Be prepared for beach weather, with a very small chance of a summer storm. You won't need a jacket, even at night, unless one of these infrequent storms makes an appearance.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Beach formal wedding attire.

Question

Do people in Almeria speak English?

Answer

Unfortunately, most people only speak Spanish. However, at the hotels and airport there will be English speakers. The towns along the coast are usually English-speaking friendly, especially in summer. If you venture out into Almeria city or drive to small towns, you will find most people won't speak any English. Google Translate is helpful, as is having some Spanish speaking basics. Be prepared to read Spanish menus and order food and drinks in Spanish. If you have allergies to any food items, learn the Spanish word and how to ask. Alberto can text you the exact phrase to say every time.
