Khalin and Alayna met in middle school. At a fateful party, one day during freshman year of high school, Khalin and Alayna took their friendship from study buddies to BFFs! They both shared a love of academics and had all of the same classes together since freshman year. They began to confide in one another and trusted the bond that they had formed. Their bond has extended into adulthood and not much has changed. No matter where they both are in life they will drop everything to be there for one another. Khalin's support and love has been a pillar of Alayna's life and that is why she knew she would be the perfect Maid of Honor.

Briana and Alayna met freshman year of high school during track season. Briana has always been vibrant and lively. She is a go-getter and has been from day one. She graduated at the top of her class and inspired Alayna to be a better woman because of it. Briana has always been a role model for Alayna because she continuously sets the standard and strives for greatness effortlessly. Besides being intelligent, Briana is a loyal and compassionate friend, always lending an ear, being a shoulder to cry on, or being a constant source of encouragement and love. There is literally never a dull moment when they are together!

Kaprice James

Kaprice was Alayna's first college roommate. They were so different from one another but ultimately the same. They were both exceptional high school athletes, prom queens, and born 3 days apart #PiscesSZN. They shared a love of animals and crying while watching Undercover Boss and pretty much anything else. They share some of the funniest memories from colleges, some that include hiking a mile in a long winter coat to not miss the bus for a meet and celebrating every their birthdays together each year. Kaprice welcomed Alayna into her family and treated her like a sister; this made Jersey feel like home for Alayna and they have been close ever since!

Gabrielle Farquharson

Gab and Alayna met on her recruiting trip to Rutgers, April 2012. Alayna remembered Gabrielle being super nice and welcoming on her visit and was excited to get to know her better after committing to going to college there. They meshed right off the bat. Alayna appreciated Gab's very caring and generous energy, something that kept Alayna afloat through life's many challenges during their college years. On Gabby's birthday one year, Alayna ran to give her a hug but instead tripped and fell on her, both of them falling to the ground and cracking all the way up. This describes their relationship today: full of laughter, love, and vulnerability. A true and genuine friendship was formed and remains!

Adrienne Williams

Adrienne and Alayna became friends before even meeting each other, on twitter (Summer 2012). They both were heavily active on #RU16 twitter and bonded through this medium & a mutual love for Frank Ocean. Upon meeting, they shared instant laughs and it literally felt like they had known each other forever. Along with Kaprice, they were all roommates and teammates on the track team until they graduated from Rutgers. Adrienne and Alayna share so many fun and memorable moments together but Alayna especially remembers the times where she was at her worst and Adrienne was always there to comfort her and offer a solution. There is not much Adrienne and Alayna have not gone through together during their 7 years of friendship and they will continue to have each other's back until the end of time.

Jamie McElveen

Jamie is Jordan's younger cousin. When Alayna first met Jamie, Alayna was 14 and Jamie was 8 or 9 years old and she was not that fond of Alayna. It took her a minute to warm up to her cousin's new girlfriend; she is protective of her family, even at that age, which in hindsight is one of Jamie's strongest and endearing qualities. After spending time together and forming a bond they became like sisters and grew to love one another. Alayna has had the privilege to watch Jamie grow into the beautiful young lady that she is today and is so proud and lucky to gain her as a cousin in the very near future!
