They met at a mutual friend's apartment and didn't think much of it. Then they and their friends all went to a concert in Richmond. And it just clicked. Michael and Alana walked away from that weekend as a new, inseparable couple.

In the summer of 2022, Michael took Alana on an amazing week long trip to Oahu, Hawaii. They drove along the coast and stopped by a scenic lookout overlooking cliffs and the ocean. Here, Michael proposed to Alana as the sun set behind them. He set up a diversion by pretending to take a picture of her as she looked out to the ocean, but when she turned back around, Michael was on one knee. The answer was yes, and the rest is history!
