Our story kind of starts before we ever met.. In the summer of 2018 Julian landed an internship at CPChem in the tiny Southeast Texas town of none other than Port Arthur. The two of us never crossed paths that summer but Julian heard alot about an amazing engineer, Alaina, who had worked there previously. Fast forward to 2020 and we ended up in the same plant and assigned to the same project. We spoke a few times through Skype and Teams since we were working remotely at the time. When we finally met in person in February 2021, the sparks flew instantly. Within a few days we were talking nonstop and finding excuses to see each other at work... and outside of work.

On a random Wednesday in the middle of June, we stopped by our house that is being built on the way home from work. We walked our way through the construction all the way up to the rooftop where we were talking about how happy we were to be building this home and this life together. There, in all of our after-work glory (no makeup, messy hair, Nomex, etc.) just as we met and fell in love, Julian got down on one knee. It was the biggest surprise and the easiest "yes" ever! We are so excited to celebrate with you all!
