"I saw her from across the room in anatomy lab, and I had to know who the girl in the blue scrubs was!" - Akrin Akrin and Karissa first crossed paths on the campus of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where he was studying to become a Doctor of Medicine and she was studying to be a Doctor of Dental Surgery. They now both live in St. Louis, Missouri where they moved to continue their training.

Akrin proposed on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He surprised Karissa getting down on one knee across from the building where they first met, on the top floor of the parking garage where they used to exchange notes wishing luck on an exam or prayers for a great clinic day. From this spot on campus they overlooked where their story first began. It’s a place forever etched into their hearts and a day they’ll never forget. They look forward to celebrating with you and creating memories of an unforgettable night as they exchange vows and dance the night away September 13, 2024!
