A Chops & Lady Chops Wedding Experience!

Akilah and Emmanuel met the modern way.....swipe right, swipe left, swipe left, EWWW NO! Swipe left, (insert many more swipes). The evening of May 21st was a little different however... Akilah had just returned home from some place unimportant, but she was about to do one of the most important things she could have imagined. By this point, 10 swipes a day was all she was willing to give. After a few dead ends, the bride was a bit exhausted. Not to mention it was way past bedtime. Somewhere in Smyrna, a handsome gentleman popped up on her screen. She began to look for items on her checklist: 1st picture- OKAY!! Gold Cuban link, high top with the tapered fade...I like! How tall is he?? About me- I hope you like music.... WHY YES, YES I DO! (the first of MANY I Do's) Height- 6'4 !!!! College Graduate 2nd, 3rd, 4th picture ALL GOOD...no...ALL GREAT But....is he still single? Does he check his bumble profile? Will we be a match? “Ok, make sure you start the finale of this excerpt by saying that I’m not exactly 6’4,” I’m 6’ 3” ¾.. I struggled with how to put that in the bio for weeks! Why don’t they have a ¾ button?! That’s an important factor! I made sure to make that little embellishment perfectly clear after we met in person and that was the ONLY embellishment! I swear!” Emmanuel honestly wasn't expecting much from any of the dating apps by the time Akilah came around. He had been out of a relationship long enough and wanted to “just see what’s out there,” and “have some fun,” or “shop around.” So much so that the profile on Bumble literally described his preference as ‘something not serious.” Good thing Akilah missed that part. She must’ve been distracted by something. From the kismet online connection, to the first glimpse of that huge smile across the Six Flags park, Emmanuel knew he would probably have his hands full. Maybe he had signed up for way more than he expected and in that, received way more than he expected too. “I’d like to thank the big guy upstairs for the sweet deal!” From every bump in the road, to every blissful moment, these two love birds are excited to be at this checkpoint of their relationship’s journey. ‘Emmanuel and Akilah’, ‘Chops and Lady Chops’, ‘the power couple’ are proud to share this moment in their lives with all of you.
