The wait is over

On April 16th 2019 we boomed! on bumble. April 22nd we went on our first date to Dallas BBQs on Jamaica Ave after a particularly exhausting day of work. The conversation must have been amazing as we scheduled a second date for later that week. By November 2019 we knew it was LOVE! In 2020 as the world changed forever so did our lives. The idea of being apart due to the lockdown made us realize that together is where we wanted to be. We made it official on July 22 and since then, we have made it our goal to experience everything life has to offer together. Together we've been scuba diving, rode in helicopter over the city, eaten amazing foods, traveled and are constantly on the look out for the next adventure! On Juneteenth 2021, we took the ultimate leap during skydiving! Not just from a plane 14,000 feet above the ground, but to take the next step in our journey. Akeem popped the question with a ring pop just moments after we landed and without hesitation and she said "YES!" (the real ring followed). On July 29, 2022 in front of our family and closest friends, we planned to start the adventure of a lifetime as husband and wife! However, just like her parents our beautiful baby girl did not want to miss the fete! On June 25, 2022 Adora Solána Powell decided to join the wedding party! Now! Finally! THE WAIT IS OVER! Its time celebrate all that makes us perfectly Powell!
