Aimee & Steve's story began the way all lifechanging events begin--unexpectedly. When they swiped right on Tinder, they had no intention of anything serious. After a first date at Teddy's Tavern, they realized they would like to spend more time getting to know each other. Although they weren't planning on anything long term, the universe had other plans. After a Drag Show, a horror movie, many dining escapades, late night trips to Dick's and long talks, it was clear that they had found something special in each other. Even though their heads were saying silly logical things as to why it would never work, their hearts could not stay away from each other. Aimee immediately noticed Steve's genuine and kind heart and generous soul (and obviously his freakishly handsome good looks). Steve couldn't help but fall for Aimee's nurturing and warm nature as the fact that she lauged at his jokes and impressions. With Steve's plans to pursue his acting career in L.A. and Aimee wanting to stay in WA for her theater career, they chose to make a long-distance relationship work. It wasn't an easy decision or transition, but they quickly learned how to stay connected despite the physical distance. With many video dates and flights back and forth, their love proved strong enough to last until Aimee made the decision to move to L.A. to be with Steve. After 3 years of surviving the pressure cooker of a lockdown and living together for the first time in L.A., they realized their hearts belonged back in the Pacific Northwest. Little did Aimee know; Steve was planning a PNW engagement. Steve wanted to propose in one of their favorite places to get away. In the moody, misty backdrop of rocky ocean landscapes, ancient rainforests and glittery vampires, Steve knew Forks, WA was meant to be the place. After a comically dicey muddy hike down to the ocean, falling in icy water, and almost losing the ring, it was clear that there was no better time for a romantic proposal. ** We think it may have been romantic, we're not sure, there was a lot of adrenaline. ** Aimee and Steve's love story has almost 7 years written, and they are so honored to share their chosen union with all of you!
