Absolutely! We know a lot of our family and friends have little ones that they might struggle to find care for. Especially since about half of the wedding guests are coming in from out of state. So instead of dealing with that struggle, they are more than welcome to join and have fun with the rest of us!
You can wear a costume if you like since it is the renaissance fair. We know already that there will be family in kilts, and festival themed outfits, and we are more than happy about it! If, however, you don't feel like wearing a costume, you absolutely do not have to! A nice dress, or slacks and a button up, a suit, or a uniform for those in the military, are also welcomed! We want you to be comfortable and enjoy the day as much as we do!
As you may know, we had a small ceremony in 2019 with Aileen's siblings, parents, and Granny, and Matthew's parents and one sibling. Matthew and Aileen are holding the wedding in Houston as most of Matthew's family is in that area and Aileen's family is spread all around the US and UK.
Please, no. Matthew and Aileen have hired a photographer/videographer, and they are very much so looking forward to the beautiful work by these artists. At least during the vow renewal, keep all phones on silent and away, as there will already be plenty of background noise from the faire itself.
After the ceremony, there will be a reception for three hours. Part of the perks of the venue is that your entrance to the wedding is also a park ticket. If you want to wander around the faire after the reception you are more than welcome to do so!
