Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Aidan Dougherty and Richard Hutcheson
We encourage you to explore the sights Waco has to offer! Below are a few hand-picked recommendations.
Alpha Omega Grill & Bakery

Alpha Omega Grill & Bakery

929 Franklin Avenue, Waco, TX 76701
, (254) 732-7506

This is arguably Richard and Aidan's favorite restaurant, located conveniently next to Cha Community (for any boba tea lovers). Aidan's go-to order is a pork gyro with feta fries, while Richard opts for a chicken gyro - hold the tzatziki - and regular fries. Yum!

Baylor University

Baylor University

1311 South 5th Street, Waco, TX 76706

Richard & Aidan's alma mater! Visit the bear habitat, enjoy the beautiful red brick buildings, and walk along the historic Founders Mall.

Cameron Park

Cameron Park

2601 North University Parks Drive, Waco, TX 76708

Who knew that Waco is home to the second-largest municipal park in the nation (behind Central Park in NYC)? Check out the walking trails along the Brazos River, the impressive zoo, and the many scenic photo opportunities. Richard even completed his Eagle Scout project at the Cameron Park Clubhouse, where he oversaw construction of an outdoor classroom.

Dr Pepper Museum

Dr Pepper Museum

300 South 5th Street, Waco, TX 76701

Believe it or not, Waco is the birthplace of Dr Pepper! Stop by the museum for a fascinating look at the history behind Aidan's favorite soft drink.

Homestead Heritage

Homestead Heritage

608 Dry Creek Road, Waco, TX 76705

For our guests who love connecting with nature or working with one's hands, we recommend checking out this wonderful site. Located just north of Waco, Homestead Heritage has an impressive array of artisan shops, sprawling gardens, and delicious treats. For information on its unique history, click on the link below!

Magnolia Market

Magnolia Market

601 Webster Avenue, Waco, TX 76706

When in Waco, it only makes sense to visit the famous Magnolia Market. True locals don't spend tons of time here, but it's fun to see the variety of shops Chip and Jo have assembled downtown. Don't forget to try a treat from the Magnolia Bakery!
