Aida and Josh met initially over "Bumble", a mobile dating application. Josh had just started his career as a Hospital Medicine attending at UC San Francisco Medical Center after graduating residency training, and was in LA for another wedding. They got to chatting, exchanged phone numbers, and kept in touch until Josh returned to LA for their first date on September 2, 2021. But that wasn't all, it turns out a mutual friend that new them both very well thought they would be a great match and recommended they meet literally days after they matched on Bumble (what a coincidence, we know)! Turns out their first date turned into three that spanned Labor Day Weekend 2021. By the end of weekend, Josh invited Aida to San Francisco to visit him. These two are quite the shy bunch at first, he didn't know quite how to ask her. Little did they know, that would begin two years of adventures between San Francisco, Los Angeles, and beyond when they forged a fierce bond sealed by love. Their emotions had never been this tested, as airports quickly became associated with tearful goodbyes that tugged deeply at their heart strings. Reunions though, were always filled with immense joy, laughter, and enjoyment. This has amounted to countless memories they both hold so dear. They intertwined each other in their lives and traditions and amongst their most cherished friends and closest family. The most telling aspect of their love was that they knew they could totally be themselves with each other, allowing their innermost souls to collide once they finally met. Josh and Aida knew in their hearts that they were staring their "forever" in the eyes. Josh planned an elaborate surprise over Memorial Day Weekend 2023, capped off by his proposal at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. This was followed by Josh's move to Los Angeles the next month, eliminating the obstacle of distance. On April 14, 2024, we hope you can join us to share in a culminating moment of their love story as they join hands and cross the threshold into marriage as husband and wife.
