We matched on a dating website early May 2020. After messaging every day for a month we met in person at the mall on June 6th. We ate in the food court, and talked for 5 hours. Hannah needed gas so she kidnapped Matt and drove to a gas station far away just so they could have more time together. We both thought that this was something special. For our second date we went to Target, we walked around and talked about different things that we liked. After walking around we sat in Matt’s truck and talked for another 4 hours. Being around each other felt natural. Around this time Hannah was feeing home sick and told Matt about the open prairie lands and going star gazing with clear sky’s back in South Dakota. This made the 3rd date special and this was the date that made us fall in love. We went down a back road and sat in the truck looking at the stars and talking about our future. June 20th 2020 was the day we knew we were in love and wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Matt was working evenings and weekends at Cabelas, but that didn’t stop him from seeing Hannah. He would take a short lunch so that he could get off early and see her for dinner, in rain or shine. They would get disposable cameras and try to find the most interesting places in Lubbock to take pictures. Matt cleared his living room and made a pillow fort movie night with string lights and snacks. Hannah would take Matt to the drive in movie theater, during 2020 they were allowing people to bring their own food and drinks. Our love, friendship, trust and communication has grown tremendously. On December 25th 2022 Matt got on one knee and asked Hannah to marry him of course she said yes. To celebrate the engagement Hannah and Matt went out on new years to revisit all the places where they first met. At the end of the date they went back to their spot and looked at the stars. It was a great end to 2022.
