After spending quarantine 2020 together, at home 24/7 We decided we were going to celebrate New Years Eve BIG. Amber worked a full day, and told Joe she wanted to get dressed up! Have decorations! Drinks! The countdown! She wanted to celebrate! So she got home from work, put on make up. Put on a dress. Put on HEELS and Joe even put on a button up shirt. (This took so much effort after wearing sweats for all of 2020) Joe had the house decorated so nice, complete with twinkle lights. (Of course amber was concerned if the tape he used was going to take off the wall paint, but that was expected) So they had a few drinks, and started a zoom party with their friends. They played a few games. Chatted about movies. Laughed. Talked about how ridiculous the year had been with COVID. And 11:58pm came quick. Joe got up and went to one of the light strands and made a comment about the paint and asked Amber to “come look” Of course Amber was already saying “I knew this was going to chip the paint, let me see” It was then that when she turned around, Joe was on one knee, and said He didn’t want to go into the New Year without asking Amber to marry him. It was a perfect proposal and Amber could not have asked for a better way to close out the year, and bring in 2021. We went back to the zoom party an engaged couple!
