Most guests wear eveningwear or Nigerian traditional attire. Non-Nigerians who wish to wear traditional attire to weddings are welcome to do so!
There will be free parking at the venue.
While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
We can not wait to celebrate our traditional white wedding, when the time comes. At this time, the date for a traditional white wedding has not been decided. But stay tuned.
Of course! We encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #AfamAffair so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
We are very appreciative of all your gifts, large or small. Feel free to get us a gift from the registry, or in true Nigerian fashion, bring some money to spray on the big day.
Money Spraying symbolizes a showering of happiness, good fortune, and a display of the guest's affection for the couple. Spraying money is the act of placing paper money on or over the head of an individual or (in this case), a couple, on special occassions.
The event will be hosted in Stone Mountain, which is near the city of Atlanta. While we do not have a designated hotel, feel free to stay in any of the hotels or AirBNB's near the city. If you are flying in, and would like to stay near the airport, we recommend Atlanta Airport Marriott on 4711 Best Rd, Atlanta, GA, 30337.
