Matthew and Sadie met on a Sunday morning volunteering at Newtown Ambulance Squad on July 15, 2018. Take a look at the gallery to see a picture of us from that day washing an ambulance together. Within a few weeks, we went on our first date and learned that we had been very close to each other on multiple occasions in our lives such as living across the street from each other as babies and going to the same prom in 2016.

After months of planning a surprise trip to Puerto Rico (our first attempt to vacation there was canceled months prior), a hurricane hit the island on the day of our flight. Luckily, two days before Matthew canceled the whole trip and spontaneously planned an entirely new trip to the Finger Lakes in New York. In just two days of planning, he created event filled days of hiking, exploring waterfalls, camping, and of course many many winery visits. Although planning to propose in the middle of our trip, our second day there was pouring rain and cleared up an hour before sunset, so he changed our plans and we went straight to Taughannock Falls where Matthew proposed.

Our wedding will be extra special as it will be taking place on Sadie's family farm. The oldest parts of the property were built in the 1760s. Some of the buildings on the property, as well as surrounding properties, were built from a quarry on the property (the one the road it is on is named for). The property has also been renovated for this day by us and some of the members of our wedding party!
