Adrienne and Rigo first met sometime in high school and had senior English together, however they never talked. One morning, (they were both attending Cerritos college) Adrienne was driving to her 7am math class and drove past a bus stop where she noticed Rigo was sitting and waiting for the bus. She made a u-turn and offered him a ride to school. From that day on Rigo was persistent in asking Adrienne out on a date even though she turned him down for the next two years. They did remain friends through this time and she jokes that “Rigo was dating her before she was dating him back”. His persistence prevailed and the rest is history. Their first official date was in November of 2017 to the LA Zoo Lights event.

Rigo had been thinking for a while on how he was going to ask the BIG question. While on a family vacation in Hawaii celebrating Adrienne’s parent’s vow renewal, Rigo knew this was the perfect opportunity to propose! Everything had to be a surprise, and it is really hard to keep surprises from Adrienne since she knows Rigo so well. Adrienne’s family knew since the start of the trip that Rigo was going to propose, but had no idea when or how. Rigo had an idea on how he wanted to ask, but always being on the move made it difficult to execute his plans. It wasn’t until a family dinner, on top of a beautiful mountain ranch when Rigo had decided that it would be perfect opportunity. Rigo had asked Adrienne to take a picture together with the beautiful sunset, that’s when everyone knew Rigo was asking Adrienne to marry him.
