Adrie's POV: At the time I was working for Bluegrass Vineyard and we had a kiosk in the mall. Cass was shopping with his two amazing grandmothers, Karen and Betty. They enjoy some good wine and decided to stop by the booth with Cass trailing behind. As I got to talking with Karen and Betty, little conversation with Cass, we got to know the basics about each other's life. He was single, in the army, 21 at the time, a criminology major, and both of his parents were in education. I told them about myself, I was in school to become a teacher, 22 at the time, and my mom was in education. With Karen being who she is, she said, "Are you single? Cass needs to make more friends." I thought that was hilarious and I could tell Cass was embarrassed but I giggled and said, "Yes I am." Our conversations were wrapping up after Betty asked when I was working again (Thursday and Friday), and as they were leaving Karen yelled over her shoulder, "He'll be back for your number!" I just giggled and said, "alright!" The next day Cass didn't show up and I was a little bummed, but on Friday I see him stroll up to the booth. He gets my number and we meet up after my shift to go on a walk, days continue on and things just continued to click. Cass had to go to AIT with the army not too long after we started to spend the majority of our time together. He was gone for a few weeks and I was shocked by how much I was missing him, but we talked everyday. For his AIT graduation, I put on my big girl pants and did something I would never normally do. I met his whole family by MYSELF while we watched the graduation ceremony. I immediately fell in love with his whole family and knew that our two families would get along so well. I was able to spend a little time with Cass before he had to go to another training in Fort Stewart, Georgia a couple of days later. I then did something else that wasn't normal for me, I flew to Georgia to see him. We had the best time and so much fun going on adventures, out to eat, bowling, etc. This led to us dating starting on August 5th, 2021. Ever since, it has been the most amazing journey I have been on; full of date nights, laughter, game nights, competitions, dinners, and so many different adventures. I couldn't ask for a more selfless, caring, loving, generous, hardworking, loyal, and brave person to spend forever with. I can't wait to see where life takes the both of us. We can't wait to say, "I do." Cass' POV: On that Summer Day, my grandmother’s Betty and Karen came down to Bowling Green to visit. During their visit they wanted to take me to the mall in hopes of buying me every pair of tennis shoes I looked at. We entered the mall and they asked about my friends and where we spend our time in BG. I replied saying, “All of my friends have either gone home for summer, away with the Army for training, or work evenings like I do.” They told me I should be going out and making new friends, and that I could even make a friend here in the mall, that’s funny looking back. Not a minute after that conversation we passed this wine kiosk and my grandparents stopped by to try a sample and possibly buy some. There was this beautiful blonde girl behind the counter, but I just stood behind my grandparents minding my own business and waiting while giving nods and smiles. I then heard the question, “Are you single?” I turned red in embarrassment and attempted to laugh my way out of this interaction , which led to Karen announcing that I would be back for her number. Friday rolls around and I rounded up the courage to go and talk to Adrie again. I walked right up to the kiosk and then took a hard right into GameStop. After thinking about what I was going to say, I tactically re-approached her. She was reading a book and I had not the slightest idea of what I said or what we talked about, but I secured that phone number and it felt amazing. Ever since that day, we have spent as much time together as possible.
